Biografía

After graduating with honors, Sahar Mashhour was tenured at Cairo University in 2013 as a junior staff member. Soon afterwards, she was awarded a Teaching English as a Foreign Language fellowship in the Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) program at the American University in Cairo (AUC). After obtaining her Master’s degree from AUC in 2016, she was awarded a Fulbright scholarship for Egyptian junior faculty. In Fall 2018, she worked as a full-time language instructor at the department of English Language Instruction at AUC.

Sahar has presented research at several international conferences, such as the International Symposium on Bilingualism (ISB11) in Ireland, the Nile TESOL in Egypt, and the International Teaching English Conference in the USA. Her research interests include English language teaching and learning, sociolinguistics, and corpus linguistics.
