Biografía
Raúl Manzanilla was a professor of mathematics at Simón Bolívar University in Venezuela until March 2014. He joined Yachay Tech faculty in April 2014 as founder member and he is occasional Professor at this moment.
Summary of Interests
He works in approximation theory and has different skills in areas such as finite elements, interpolation theory and approximation of functions, partial differential equations, mesh generation 2D and 3D, modeling of physical phenomena, simulation and characterization of oilfields, structural reservoir models, pressure testing of wells, gas lift, electrical submersible pumps, among others.
Current Research projects
On surface approximation with finite elements and radial based functions. In this moment, he works with a doctoral Mathematical student at Simón Bolívar University in Venezuela.
