Biografía
Raisa comes from Loja, Ecuador. In 2015 she got a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in Environmental Geology and Land Management. Since 2016, she has worked in public and private institutions as municipalities in Ecuador gaining experience developing activities as risk assessment, mining management, geological mapping and drone surveying. In 2018, she got a full scholarship from Fundacion Carolina of Spain to study a Master Degree in Planning and Management of Natural Disasters at the University of Alicante. During her time at Spain, she was in an internship at the Department of Regional Geographic Analysis and Physical Geography developing a detailed basic geomorphological map of Azogues canton in Ecuador. In 2020, she was working at the Private Technical University of Loja as Invited Professor teaching geology, geomorphology and climatology. Currently, she is a PhD Candidate in Physical Geography and Land Management at the University of Alicante where her main project is to assess the hydrogeomorphological risk in the middle zone of Paute river basin in the south of Ecuador.
During 2021, she was in a research stance at the University of Alicante with a three months scholarship offered by the same university. Then, she moved to Ecuador to work at Yachay Tech University as Full Professor and Researcher teaching mainly geomorphology, and now she is part of several projects.
