Biografía

Juan Pablo Tafur was born in the city of Valledupar, Colombian. He obtained a degree in Industrial Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPTC), Spain in 2012. That year, he started in the postgraduate program of Renewable Energies in the UPCT, where he obtained his PhD diploma in Renewable Energy in 2016. His thesis was focus on the Spectroscopic and Electrochemical Characterization of Polymeric Electrolytes – gel type Based on Ionic Liquids. Application in Zinc Batteries. Furthermore, he was recognized with the Cum Laude qualification for the work done.

In 2016, he decided to move to Ibarra city-Ecuador, where he began his work as a Researcher Professor in the Industrial Engineering Career at the Technical del North University. In October 2017, he started as a Researcher Professor at the School of Chemical Sciences and Engineering in Yachay Tech University where he teaches classes for Petrochemical, Polymer and Materials degrees.
