Biografía
Dr. Gonzales-Zubiate obtained a bachelor degree in Biology at Federico Villarreal University, Peru. He did his master and doctoral studies in Biochemistry studying ribosomal RNA processing in the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae at University of São Paulo, Brazil. Years later, being a postdoc at the University of California – Los involved in the maturation of mRNAs and their transport to the cytoplasm. Back in Brazil, he started a postdoc at the University of São Paulo developing the research project “Biochemical and Structural Characterization of Yeast Exosome Interactions with regulatory proteins of its activity”.
At the present time, he is Lecturer and Research Professor at Yachay Tech University, he also holds the position of director of Postgraduate Programs at School of Biological Sciences and Engineering.

- Mechanisms of nucleus/cytoplasm transport in the cell.
- Ribosomal RNA processing, ribosome biogenesis, mRNA transport and maturation.
- Differential gene expression.
- Yeast-based biosensors.
- iGEM International Competition of Synthetic Biology.
- Protein folding
