The inauguration event of the Second Academic Leveling Term 2022 was held at the Innópolis Entrepreneurship Center. On this occasion, 409 new leveling students gathered to become part of the university life of Yachay Tech. The main university authorities welcomed the students as they will be the ones in charge of promoting and developing science and technology in the future in different fields of research.
Lenin Jácome, PhD, General Director of Academic Services was in charge of welcoming them and stated: “It is an honor to be able to welcome you here, at your university. We have spent these last two years in the midst of a pandemic but that situation changes this academic term as we’re back to the face-to-face modality. Our faculty are sufficiently prepared and will be in charge of giving you a first-class education”. During his speech, he highlighted the events that will take place throughout the day, such as orientation, community engagement and platform management processes that make part of this new university life.
Diego Pérez Ed. D., Rector of Yachay Tech conveyed: “Students of the eighteenth cohort, congratulations to all of you on the start of this leveling program. You’ve arrived at a university that is not easy, but we are confident that you will have all the support to overcome leveling and be promoted to first semester”. The Rector highlighted the fact that Yachay Tech has the lowest dropout rates compared to other universities as a result of the great faculty that knows the teaching process very well.
The leveling academic term consists of 16 effective weeks of face-to-face classes at Innópolis, which will begin on November 28, 2022 and end on April 3, 2023. During this time, students will take Fundamentals of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Writing and Reading Comprehension and English as part of their academic strengthening to endure their different majors. Once they pass leveling, they will get promoted to first semester, where they will attend class at the main Yachay Tech campus.
Finally, the rector mentioned: “Your success is the success of our community. You will have the support of the entire university community; It won’t be easy and it’s going to require a lot of sacrifice, and with the support we have they will get ahead. You have a commitment to yourselves, to your parents, to the university and to the country, and we are here so that you can jointly achieve your goals and become part of Yachay Tech.” He finished with a “Yes, we can!”.
