Yachay Tech University hosted the first honor roll ceremony in the history of the University. This event aimed to institutionalize and recognize the academic efforts of its students. The honor roll displays the students with the three best grades of the last semester for each major. On this occasion, forty-three people from twelve provinces of the country received this recognition. The event was held on April 15, 2019, and was attended by University authorities, faculty, students, administrative staff and parents.
During the event, Spiros Agathos, rector of Yachay Tech, congratulated the students for their self-learning management through critical thinking and creativity. He also highlighted that 51% of the honor roll students are women.
During the event, María Belén Paredes, a Biomedicine student with one of the best grades on the honor roll, and Adrián Padilla, student representative, congratulated their classmates and encouraged them to use knowledge to promote the development of society.
