The Academic Exchange Coordination of Yachay Tech University is organizing the Erasmus + Workshop, while preparing projects for capacity building. The event will take place on Thursday the 16th and Friday the 17th of November, 2017, at Innopolis, Yachay EP. The event welcomed 65 participants from different universities, institutions and Felix Fabiny Political Officer of the European Union in Ecuador. The main goal of the event is to contribute to the involvement of the Ecuadorian academia in the development of educational projects and research with an international scope.
Erasmus + is a European Union program that offers opportunity for cooperation in higher education. The program is predominantly internal, nonetheless, it works with cooperation programs with countries that are not part of the European Union. The Capacity Building in the field of Higher Education (CBHE) gathers countries from all over the world to promote international cooperation with grants for specific projects that go from 500,000 to 1 million dollars.
Yachay EP, Senescyt and 15 universities (Yachay Tech, ESPOL, EPN, ESPOCH, ESPE, Ikiam, UNAE, UCSG,, UCE, UPacífico, UIDE, UNACH, UTN y UTPL) participated in the meeting. During the event, attendees will be able to propose projects and get guidance on the development of their project so it can be presented to the Erasmus + program. At the same time, attendees will be able to learn exactly the guidelines that the program has established for academic proposals.
