As part of the internationalization strategy of Yachay Tech University, Rector Eduardo Ludeña, PhD, held several meetings with academics representing different institutions in Brazil and Argentina. During his international tour, the Rector held meetings with the representative of Universidad de Buenos Aires, Universidad de Sao Paulo and Universidad Federal de Río de Janeiro. In addition, he established cooperation ties with Universidad Nacional de La Plata, in Argentina.
The Rector also held meetings with Juan Carlos Reboreda, Dean of the School of Exact and Natural Sciences of Universidad de Buenos Aires, and with Luis M. Baraldo, Department Head of the Same School. Ludeña established cooperation ties with Sylvio Accioly, prorector of research and Professor of the Physics Institute of Universidad de Sao Paulo. He was also welcomed by the members of the Coordination for International Relations of Universidad de Sao Paulo.
The tour also included a visit to the Physical-Chemical Department of Universidad Federal de Río de Janeiro, where he visited the Multipurpose Laboratory of X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS).
The purpose of the tour was to consolidate the University’s internationalization strategy. This strategy includes developing study programs for international students and joint programs and degrees with international universities. It also seeks to establish international cooperation for research with different universities and faculty and to promote multiculturalism in the University through the presence of researchers and students from all over the world.
