On July 30, 2018, the Secretariat of Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation (SENESCYT) awarded a grant to the Ecuadorian Genetics and Genomics Network through the call KNOWLEDGE IN NETWORK. With the funds acquired, a scientific event entitled GENETICS AND GENOMICS IN ECUADOR will be organized. The event is scheduled for April 25 and 26, 2019.
