Pablo Andrés Cisneros Pérez, Ph.D.

Biography

Dr. Pablo Cisneros-Pérez was born in Quito, Ecuador and he lived in Ibarra in the scholar age. He made their undergraduate studies at the Universidad Central del Ecuador, obtaining a Bachelor in Chemistry. Later, he realized their graduate studies at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México obtaining the grades of Master and Ph.D., under the supervision of Dr. Bernardo Frontana Uribe, and developing synthetic methodologies for the obtention of pi-conjugated materials. In addition, he made a research stay in the Group of Electroactive Systems of the Université de Rennes I. Between 2015 and 2021 Dr. Cisneros worked as Lecturer-Researcher at the Universidad Regional Amazónica Ikiam, in topics related to Organic Chemistry and Natural Products. In addition, he collaborated on projects related to the synthesis and characterization of nanoparticles for environmental applications. Nowadays, Dr. Cisneros-Pérez is Associate Researcher at Ikiam. Since, December of 2022, he joined Yachay with a permanent position. Dr. Cisneros-Pérez has published various articles and leaded research projects.

  • Synthesis and characterization of nanoparticles for the degradation of organic pollutants in water.
  • Design and synthesis of molecules for the fabrication of electronic devices like OPVs, OFETs, OLEDs, etc.
