The Language Department of Yachay Tech University is seeking to hire three (3) professionals with the following profile:

Position Profile: 

• Position Title:  Full-Time Teaching Technician 2
• Contract Start Date: September 1, 2025
• Monthly Salary: USD $954.35

Minimum Requirements:

1. Third-level degree (undergraduate), preferably a graduate degree (master´s), registered with SENESCYT in the field of Education, Pedagogy of National and Foreign Languages, and/or Teaching English as a Second Language or Foreign Language.
2. Proof of English proficiency at the B2 level or higher.
3. A minimum of 48 hours of academic training or professional development in the broad field of knowledge.
4. At least twelve (12) months of documented teaching experience in higher education, academic work, academic support, and/or student pre-professional internships at a Higher Education Institutions or Research Institutions.
   – This must be supported by an official personnel action form or certificate issued by a higher education institution legally recognized in Ecuador, or an equivalent institution in the private sector.
5. A minimum average performance evaluation score of 75% from the institution(s) where the candidate has taught during the corresponding 12-month period.

Responsibility of the Selected Professional:

1. Support the activities carried out by the academic staff;
2. Teach preparatory, leveling, and technical or technological training courses;
3. Provide tutoring for pre-professional internships;
4. Prepare teaching activities (theoretical or practical) and guide practical and laboratory learning under the coordination of a professor;
5. Support the teaching of a second language (national or foreign) in a degree program or academic program.
