Biografía
Biologist in the area of cellular biology and parasitology at the Central University of Venezuela (UCV).
PhD in Medical Research at the National Institute for Medical Research (now called Francis Crick Institute); London, England. PhD Supervisor Professor Anthony Holder. Title of PhD project: Monoclonal antibodies binding to malaria merozoite surface proten-1 protect in vivo against Plasmodium yoelii infection.
Worked in research in the development of immunological tests for Tropical Diseases at the Institute of Tropical Medicine-UCV.
Full Professor at the Simón Bolívar University in the Department of Cellular Biology.
Currently, Professor at the School of Biological Sciences and Engineering at Yachay Tech University.
Research interests
Designs in immunological diagnostic tests in Diseases. Production of monoclonal antibodies and Evaluation of experimental drugs. Biological and immunological evaluation of medicinal plant extracts. Controlled evaluation of drugs in Biomaterials.
