Biografía
Dennis Jiménez is a Biotechnology Engineer from the Universidad de las Fuerzas Armadas (ESPE), he holds a master’s degree in Synthetic Biology from the Universidad Yachay Tech. He has worked on the immunological characterization of SARS-CoV-2 at the Universidad de las Fuerzas Armadas ESPE. He has also investigated mobile genetic elements in the genomes of Xylella fastidiosa and their influence on pathogenicity. In 2024, he received a scholarship from UNU-BIOLAC to participate in the course “Metabarcoding and Shotgun Metagenomics: Applications for Environmental, Agricultural, and Health Research”, organized at Universidad Mayor in Santiago (Chile). He has experience with microbiology techniques, molecular biology, synthetic biology, and bioinformatics.
